Dr Amy Ashton said, ‘One optimistic day last year I mentioned to some colleagues that a very inspiring couple i know had just walked an ultra marathon called The Lap. For some crazy reason we decided it would be a good idea to sign up and raise money for an awesome charity if we managed it. So almost a year on, and we’re about to face 47miles in 24hrs… apparently with a clinical psychologist in the team nothing can go wrong… I dont think they know how unhinged I get when I’m tired/hungry/generally grumpy…
In our major trauma MDT clinic we see first hand the amazing work Headway Central Lancashire does for our patients. Their mission is to enable people, and their carers, after a major trauma to live the best life that they can. They do this in spades they are a truly inspiring team and support so many patients while they navigate the life changing effects of suffering traumatic injuries. If you want to boost our motivation and help a brilliant cause, please donate!
Liz Bamber Manager and founder member of Headway Central Lancashire said, ‘we are thrilled that Amy, Emma and Howard are doing this for our charity. They are busy every day saving lives and rehabilitating patients after a major trauma injury, but have the kindness and determination to help our small charity, and we are beyond proud and grateful’.
